Having proved very popular with country folk for many years Terrier Racing could become the spectator (and participatory) sport of sophisticated townies.

Late September 2009 The Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park held its annual party.

As part of the evening’s entertainments they hosted the first ever Urban Terrier Derby where people were able to bet on the outcome of up to 8 races between a group of racing mad terriers which proved a big hit with the “arty” crowd.

Bringing this bunch of canine reprobates and their attendant crew up to London involved some expense so we were grateful to the following sponsors for supporting this unique event:
