SAGE RULES
As one might expect, with so many entrants, it was a recipe for chaos with the historic racecourse awash with barking mad terriers and their owners.

Despite a few hiccups, after countless heats, quarter finals and semi-finals the grand final was won by Sage (who was runner up last year) from Minty with Milou third and 2008 winner Poppy in fourth place.

A real fun day out !!

OMNI TERRIER DERBY 2009
was held on Sunday 2nd August
at Epsom Downs Racecourse
on the actual Derby course.

Just a few months after the now legendary Sea The Stars trod the hallowed Epsom turf en route to Derby greatness, the “Sport of Kings” became the sport of lunatics with about sixty terriers following in his footsteps.

Run over the last quarter of a furlong on the actual Derby course the 2009 Omni Terrier Derby attracted a record entry with dozens of dogs vying for the prize.
